Meeting people safely
Everything in InRealLife ends in a real room with real people. Here's how we keep that safe, and what you can do.
What we do
- Everyone does a selfie check before joining. Hosts are held to a higher standard, and first activities are reviewed by a person.
- The exact place is shown only to people who joined, the day before. Before that, only the neighborhood.
- Attendees' names are visible only to the host and to people who joined.
- Dating activities are group formats in public places.
- A person reviews every report. Blocks and bans apply in all three apps.
What you can do
- Meet in the public place listed. Don't change the venue to a private home.
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Arrange your own way home, and keep your phone charged.
- Leave whenever you want. You don't owe anyone your time.
- Outside group chats (like WhatsApp) show your phone number and aren't covered by our blocks and reports.
What we check, and what we don't
Every member takes a selfie check, reviewed by a person, before joining anything. We do not run criminal background checks on members. No check is perfect, so meet in public and trust your instincts.
If you feel unsafe
If you are in danger, call local emergency services now: 112 in Europe, 911 in North America.
Afterwards, report the person or activity from the app (••• → Report). We review every report and act fast on anything involving safety.
